Websites for hotels and resorts in Phuket
Phuket runs on Agoda and Booking, and you are paying commission on guests who searched for your resort by name. A direct-booking site is where the margin lives.
What the Phuket market means for your website
No island in Thailand leans on the OTAs the way Phuket does. Rooms are set on Agoda and Booking months before the season, and much of the market sits well above 80 percent OTA dependency. A guest sees your resort on a billboard at the airport, searches the name, lands on an OTA listing before they land on you, and books there. You pay a fifth of a booking you had already earned. Your own site does not replace the OTAs, it captures the guests who were looking for you by name, which is the cheapest room you will ever sell.
Your guest list here is international long before it is Thai. Russian and Chinese visitors have come back in force, alongside European, Australian, Indian and Middle Eastern guests, and most Phuket hotel sites are English-only. The guest who searches in Russian or Chinese books the OTA that speaks their language. English is the floor, not the finish line.
High season and green season are two different businesses trading under one name. Rates in January and rates in June are not close, and a booking path that cannot carry both, connected to your channel manager, means someone is maintaining two calendars by hand and getting one of them wrong.
Almost nobody searches "Phuket hotel". They search a beach: Kata, Karon, Bang Tao, Kamala, Patong, Nai Harn. A site where each area and each room ranks on its own catches the guest who already knows which sand they want to wake up on.
What changes because you are in Phuket
The full specification is on our hotel page. These are the parts the island changes:
- English as standard, with Russian or Chinese added where your booking data justifies it, written by a person rather than run through a translator
- A booking engine that carries high-season and green-season rates and syncs to SiteMinder, Cloudbeds or your channel manager, so you set a rate once
- Beach and room pages that each rank, so "Kata Beach hotel" or "Bang Tao pool villa" lands on the exact room rather than your homepage
- Photography compressed to load on an arrivals-hall connection, because a good share of Phuket booking happens on the way in
Questions Phuket hotel owners ask us
Most of our guests are Russian and Chinese. Can the site handle that?
Yes. We build Thai and English as standard, and add Russian or Chinese where your booking data shows it pays. It is written properly, by a person, not machine-translated, because a guest can tell the difference in one sentence and a translator misses the words people actually search. Each language gets its own indexable pages, so the Russian search finds the Russian page.
Our high-season and green-season rates are completely different. How does that work?
The booking engine carries seasonal rates and connects to your channel manager, so you set a rate once and it holds across your direct site and the OTAs without double-selling a room. If you do not run a channel manager yet, we will tell you honestly whether you are big enough to need one.
We are a villa or pool villa, not a hotel. Is this still for us?
Especially for you. Commission on a villa at twenty thousand baht a night is real money, and villa guests are exactly the ones who research a name and book direct when there is a direct option. The booking path is the same; the room pages are built around the villa rather than a room type.
We depend on Agoda for the airport crowd. Do we drop it?
No, and you should not. The OTAs bring you the guest who had never heard of you, and that introduction is worth the commission. Your own site is for the guest who already knows your name and is about to pay a middleman to reach you. You keep both, and stop paying a fifth on the bookings you had already won.
Why us for Phuket
We build only for Thai hospitality, and we know this island: that your guests are Russian, Chinese and European before they are Thai, that the market is set on OTA placement months ahead, and that green season and high season have to run on one site that carries both. You will not be explaining Phuket to us.
Where else we build
The same care, the local market built in, city by city.
Getting found once the site is live
A site is half the job. These are how guests actually find it.
- Local SEO for a hotel or restaurant in Thailand How the map results and "near me" searches actually work, and the three things that decide whether a hotel or restaurant shows up in its own area.
- Google Business Profile: the complete setup for a Thai venue The free listing most guests see first, set up properly: categories, hours, photos, reviews, and the mistakes that quietly bury you.
